Steinway Action Stack
We rebuild Steinway grand piano action stacks using Steinway supplied parts. First, we take careful inventory of the current rail positions to establish a base point. Then, using a custom designed jig, we remove each rail, carefully drill and pre-thread each screw hole, and return the rail to its proper position. Once all three rails have been replaced, the jig is set to accommodate the proper action spread to within a tenth of a millimeter. Soldering, bead blasting, and a final coat of lacquer and the rails are ready to be re-installed. We replace all three rails to save the client money, time, and frustration. Included in the return package are two sets of flange screws to insure a proper fit.
